The Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture and Arts


The Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture and Arts is a leading art university located in the heart of the South Urals in Russia. Founded in 1968, the institute has rapidly grown to become one of the largest centers for the humanities in the country and currently offers training in over thirty Bachelor's and Master's programs in the following fields:
  • Performing arts (music, dance, theater)
  • Visual arts (cinema, design, crafts)
  • Applied social and cultural studies
Although the Institute of Culture and Arts has garnered a reputation for high academic standards and artistic excellence, at the core of our philosophy remains inclusiveness. The institute currently counts a bit over 2000 students, 10% of which are foreign nationals from the most diverse backgrounds in countries ranging from East Asia all the way to Latin America. We believe in the celebration of our diversity and work actively to keep our environment as culturally open and rich as possible.
